  1. Its so interesting to see a house all renovated and nice, but empty. Love that you made them black and white.

    1. Thanks Katja! I always think its interesting to see that as much as we look for the perfect home, its the people and their things that really make it special.

  3. Hey Kel, awesome post, loved it! I agree, it is the people and their things that make a home special! I did get a little sad though, not sure why, maybe because its knowing that you created memories there, that sure does tug at the heart strings a bit! I know it was the same when we left our home, yes you are on to bigger and better and new memories, but I think its important to pay tribute to where youve come from, beautifully done!

    1. Thanks so much Laurie! Oh, dont get me wrong...I was a little sad. Its always hard to move on and give up the comfortable and familiar. And your right, paying tribute is important - we wouldnt be where we are today if we werent there first.

    1. Thanks Julia. Yes, it just seemed appropriate for them to be in b/w so that the colours didnt distract.

    1. Hi Gaby,
Yes, it was definitely a little emotional. We had a lot of milestones in that house, so its always hard to leave. you have to have faith that you are moving on to bigger and better though, and although it takes a while to adjust, its totally worth it in the end.
Best of luck with your move!

  10. Bye lovely house - hello new adventures!

Were in the process of listing/gearing-up-for-a-potential-move, and I have to say that Im a bit gun-shy. Will I handle it with grace? Or will I be a sobbing mess?

Love that these are all black-and-white pics! :)

Cant wait to see more pics of the new place!

  11. Houses are SO sentimental. We live our lives and create so many memories within those walls. Its always hard to leave one place. But the excitement of a new place is so much fun. Its just a new chapter. Good thing you have lots of pictures to document the old chapters. Excited to see the new place!

  12. Awwww.... this makes me a little sad. Something about an empty house has a little bittersweet feeling. ITs happy. And its a little sad.
